Hours to overhaul

A friend of mine was asking my opinion about a tractor he's looking at. It has 6200 hours on it. He was wondering when it might be due for an overhaul. Now obviously this depends on the care and use of an individual machine,BUT, he's got me wondering. So here is my question. On a modern farm tractor, say 80 to 120 hp, given reasonable maintenance about how many hours should I expect before it needs an overhaul?
I realize their are alot of variables but I am looking for general rule.
Oh yeah if anybody has experiance with CIH 7110 I'd like to hear about that to.
