Sounds like a typical, I have a dream or a fever story. My personal opinion is, that 75% of 4 wheel drive vehicle owners don't really need 4 wheel drive. They just think they do. Maybe not that big of a percentage over on the tractor owner side of things but I think the same concept still apply's. Some tractor owners don't need the 4WD option but yet they still have the tractor that does. I am not saying you don't need it but let me ask you this. Are you really needing one or are you really wanting one? Trust me, if you get one because you want one, way more so than you need one, then you are going to spend more money for a tractor that you are only going to appreciate the extra feature untill the newness wears off. Ounce the newness wears off, then it is just going to be another tractor that you got and driving around unescisarily in 4WD. Sounds like to me it is rare that you experience rear tire slippage. The extra money may very well be better spent on, as suggested in one of the other posts, tire chains. I would try wheel weights and adding fluid to rear tires before the chains though. Just my 2 cents worth.
