Had a co-worker once that during a yard party was discussing a problem he was having with moles in part of his yard. Well, a friend suggested he pour gasoline in the holes to kill the moles, he did. A short time later (long enough for the gas to mix with the air in the tunnels) he decided that if he lit the gas with a match it would speed up the process, he did and it did. No one was hurt but he had a plowed yard and the party fixens had a good coating of dirt and sod and the fixers of thoes fixens were not at all happy. He did! It did! They did! Ain't it strange how the thought process works?
