you "can" but it probably isn't recommended or the optimal set up. with drive tires you're supposed to match construction types=radials all around or bias all around. i'm not an expert but here are my thoughts with farm reality (limited budget, working with what you have) in mind: on a MFWD tractor or 2 wd tractor it would be ok to go with the radials on the rear, with a bias dual...that's ok, and not optimal and you'd have to run an undersize dual tire size, such as 18.4 to combat the inflated/loaded sidewall height differences of the radial and bias construction. on a 2+2 and other 4wd tractor, the rear still handles a majority(although very slim) of pulling and load carrying, so i'd put the radials on the rear. ideally you'd want radials on all 4 drive wheels, and radial duals (they could be used carcasses with worn tread to save some $$) you can get by with a bias dual, but it isn't ideal. so if possible get radial all around, or at least put the radials on the rear and get used radails for the rear duals. used radials up front would be a good low budget way to get radials all around too. hope this helps -karl

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
