I'm a newbie, but sounds like you need to do a couple of the following: 1) go to a hotter plug, and by all means go to Auto-Lite or AC in lieu of Champs. 2) Take off the radiator cap. Start and run the engine till it gets to operating temp. Put a cooking thermometer in the radiator. If it doesn't make it to 180F, you probably need a new thermostat. Once you bring up the temp, you should solve some of your fouling problems. Bobg in VA
