If my information is correct, in about 1979 Case and Cummins entered an agrement to produce the Cummins engine based on the 504 Case with different head and injection syestem. Most other Cummins engins have the PT fuel syestems which is very different form it. The engine is also available for other uses such as ambulances, wreckers and industrial uses. I have seen the same engine listed with up to 540 Cu in. Could New Holland have accuired stock when they bought Case Int'l ??? If any has any more info id like to see it, I am curious and not at all sure of my information... LOL
