yes I am a firm believer in sythetics. I buy Mobil 1 and change it out every 10,000 miles, I usually change filter every 5,000 miles. Most guys know this but the reason synthtics are better is because the pour point is lower and the point of oxidation is higher with a sythetic. In short the synthtic oil has a wider operating temp. range than regular oil. I had an old boss who used Amsoil on his 1987 ranger truck and as of last summer it had 235,000 miles on it. And still ran good.
