I use Mobil 1 in my truck. I have worked the truck very hard , pulling trailers and loading it down with equipment. Pushing 170,000 miles. No engine problems at all. Engine is very quiet. I really like the easy starts on cold winter days. Thick motor oil puts a strain on the starter. I change the synthetic oil about every 6,000 miles. First started useing Mobil 1 at 45,000 miles. I was very skeptical about my first time use of synthetic oil. Now I would recommend it to anyone who plans on keeping the vehicle to the end. It is superior to regular motor oil. If your not going to keep the vehicle very long , I don't know as if it would be worth going to synthetic oil , only for money purposes.
