For what it's worth...New Corvettes come from the factory with Mobil 1 in the crankcase. The synthetics don't breakdown as easy as dino oils,but they aren't a miracle lube that is "slicker" than regular oil. They just keep their lubricating properties longer than conventional oils. Porsche,Mercedes,Corvette,Even new John Deere ridng mowers and lawn tractors come with Mobil 1 in the engine-New from the factory. I use it in all my engines here,from push mowers to farmalls. But,call your dealer and ask or check the owners manual. HB
