I run Mobil 1 in all vehicles. change every 6000 use a grade better on the oil filters. Cousin had a Subaru that leaked antifreeze out and motor locked up, too hot. when torn down only two pistons had minor scuff marks. crank and rod bearings were ok. In the early 80's I saw a Kawaski 900 engine with 160000+ miles on it torn apart and cylinders were still good shape, had only synthetic oil used in it after breakin.
