Go to your nearest CaseIH-JD-Cummins/fleetguard dealer and buy a coolant test kit. Cost you about $1.50 for 1 kit. This will not only test the freeze point, but also to see if the additives are used up so it doesn't become acid and eat up aluminum parts, radiators and heater core, core plugs or cause cavitation holes in cyl liners in a Diesel. They also have the additive concentrate to restore the additive balance. Remember, ethalene glycol antifreeze when exposed to heat and air slowly converts itself to sulferic acid,so maintaining the additives which keep it slightly alkaline and prevent corrosion is important.
