antifreeze age

I drained the anti freeze form my radiator and block to do some work on on the motor. Now I have six gallons of good looking anti freeze, Still bright green. How can I check to see if it is still doing the job. If I dont re use it I have to dispose of it some how. I am not a tree hugger, but I dont like to toss it out on the ground. Years ago I would have taken two steps, and tossed it. Is there a easy way to see if anit freeze is still good.
