I have a 1960 fordson dexta with a sherman c8 backhoe and a wagner loader. I was fixing some oil leaks and broke the the pump. There was a small leak leak by the presure port so I tightened the pipe fitting and broke the housing. Dumb! I have only used it for a couple of small jobs so am not to familiar with how it works. Does any body know how many gallons per min this should need. It is running off the 540 pto. I found a place to get a replacement pump and they said my pump was about 7 gpm. I was wondering if I should get a bigger one. I see prince hydraulics makes a pump that hangs off the pto. I wondered if this would wear out the pto shaft bearings. Looks like it would be easy to remove the pump if I wanted to use the pto for something else. http://www.princedirect.com/pages/pumps.html I don't have much experience with hydraulics so any advice will help a lot. Thanks Don
