Howdy, The well has run dry. Where does a guy find tractors to refurbish at a decent price anymore? I do two or three a year. I'm Down to one that is almost done and usually keep one or two on deck for my next project. I've been looking since Nov. and haven't found a thing that was not so far over priced. I do find some things for sale on the net, but by the time you get it shipped across the country it doesn't pay. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Any ideas? Or has it just got so popular they are harder to find these days. Every yuppie around here wants a 8-N or a Cub if they have more than two a.c. of land and will pay a big price for them. I fix up more for those folks who want to work 20-50 a.c. ( two&three plow tractors )and try to pass them on at an affordable price. I do this because I enjoy working on them, not to make a bunch of money. Usually ask price I paid plus parts. Very little labor can ever be recovered. I'd like to keep my hobby going but it's getting hard. Would appreciate an comments.
