I've run McAffee at home for years, with a freeware firewall. It's worked well. I like its user interface in particular. We've also used McAffee for years at work, with pretty good success

Currently I'm running Norton because it came with my latest computer. I don't care for it as much. The user interface is much more clumsy. It stinks with regards to scanning e-mail. It's so bad I finally disabled this feature.

Currently we're running Sophos, and that seems better then either Norton or McAffee. Updated daily.
