I agreee with Bill,if your having a hard time starting with the hand crank then something needs attention. With everything in good shape itll start up easy enough. The way I start my 14 is turn on the gas, push the choke in,retard the spark to just above the point where it would shut off, pull up on the crank until its jsut about to clicl the impulse on the mag and give it real quick jerk when it gets there. After doing that a couple of timesIll pull the choke lever back out and pull the crank again and it usually fires up then.
