This grouping together of industries is the same in the commodities markets. The people that post those bogus corn surplus numbers do it to drive the price so that the stocks can be bought cheap. Then days later another report comes out saying that the surplus isn't going to be as big, maybe even a shortage, bam the price goes up and those who bought cheap sell high. Of course this stuff would never happen now would it.
