Comments about the angle of flare are correct. If no other sources are available, shops specializing in heavy truck brakes can usually find fittings that will solve your problem. Grainger and other industrial suppliers also have JIC fittings. JIC is Joint Industrial Conference who developed the standards for those fittings. I suspect that the 37 Deg flare was to deal with the unknowing individual who might try to use copper tubing for a repair on critical high pressure lines- copper has a very short life under such circumstances. Also JIC fittings will always be steel- not brass.
