I too have been gouged on the long distance calls from other countries back to the USA. Most of the gouging is not done by ATT though, it is done by the country/city you are calling from. I don't/never did work for ATT, so I am not protecting them. I used to work with their undersea cable group as a fiber vendor/specialist.
