where should I stick my muffler

I was wondering if some one could answer a question I have. I have a IH B-275, right now the exhaust comes out of the hood straight up, I was thinking of changing it so the it would go down under the tractor instead.(this was a option available when new) By doing this I will gain the clearance needed to pull my tractor in to my shop, the door is only 7’ tall. Will this change hurt any thing? Where can I get the parts needed? Thanks for any help, Brian
