Thanks for the feed back. I like the vinegar idea. Other suggest I will have to remove head. Have to think about the head. Already have the hood, gas tank and oil filter off. Getting at the head seems like an easy job assuming I don't have to go further. Since no overhead cam like I had on my Mazda, it looks much simpler. No way to rock the tractor where its sitting. After 10 years its settled in rather nicely. Will have to drive it out or haul it out with something bigger. In the mean time I will have to turn using the front pulley/bolt on the crank shaft. Already spent $400 (carb, wire harness, tune up kits, books, hydraulic oil, battery etc.). Not wanting to spend much more until I know the engine condition. Should have done this first.
