The size of the battery doesn't necessarily mean
more cranking amps double check the ground cable you must use one designed for 6 volt not 12 usually is a woven flat bare cable designed for very low resistance and no corrosion can be present If this doesnt help many times you can go to an 8 volt battery and no conversions are needed
