JDK: I agree. We thought using any tractor was better than hitching up a team of horses. The last several years I had without power steering was using a Super MD with a front mounted 4 row cultivator. That was with a wide front end which turns harder to begin with. But hey, that was better than those older steam traction steamers with a log chain hooked to the front axel for turning. The first tractor I used with power steering was a spanking new Farmall 450. It had all the goodies on it like 2 point etc. I kinda felt turning the steering wheel with one finger was really living the easy life. Gosh, that didn't have comfort cab with sterio and cell phone. How could I get anything done with out all the current goodies? Gene

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation.
