I'm fortunate enough to work in a dealership that is the other way around. We are the flagship dealer of a group of five. Having multiple stores allows each store to stock certain parts, and not have to try and carry everything. We run a parts truck to all the other four stores twice a day, so our parts availability is very good. It's very rare to wait more than a day for parts, unless it comes from Milan, IL or something. What you said last is very true. A lot of guys don't give their dealer a chance, because they've heard so much bull about how high Deere's prices are, and they end up paying more buying from the aftermarket. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink I guess.
