Have used keystock from both ag parts dealer and from "cheap" general hardware store. The ag supplier keystock dulled all the teeth on my hacksaw in about 10 strokes and barley scratched the key. Had to cut it with a metal chop saw. Harware store stock can most of the time be cut with the hacksaw. I use accordingly when I need a key that can shear or not.
