Also depends on the part, IMHO. Bearings, rings, gaskets, etc, I'd think aftermarket would as good as JD, they probably outsource them anyway. Transmission parts, major engine components and such, I'd probably stick with genuine JD. Oil, filters etc. I NEVER buy from JD, they're way too high on the prices, and as long as you change it regular and the ratings match, oil is oil is oil. Lotta people will argue with me on that last point I'm sure...
