Hey Erik, Have you tried filling the cylinder above the piston thats stuck with a good penetrating oil and letting it sit? I'm not sure if it would work or not, maybe someone else might know?, but a thought comes to mind of possibly putting a chunk of dry ice on top of the piston and freezing it to contract the size? Don't know if it would work or not but you can freeze bushings and such to get them in tight places. ON the gasket question, is the black residue near a water passage? I would take the head to a machine shop and get them to check it, they can find out for you if its cracked or not for sure. As far as pistons and liners, if your going to the trouble of going through it anyhow, I would say if budget permits to replace everything, you may have to anyhow, I don't know if you can get them individually or not? The groove on the crankshaft, that I don't know, doesn't sound like it should be there but maybe someone else may know for sure. Hope this helps in some way
