And if you can't get the handle from the first suggestion, you can wrap electrical tape around the back half of the hack saw blade, to have something to grip, and cut it that way. And if the blade is a little too wide to fit into the hole you can grind off some of the top side of the blade until the blade will fit into the the hole.
