Another factor is age and health. I've seen many reports of elderly farmers having accidents, some due to heart attacks, strokes etc. Others may happen due to increase reaction time and decreased eyesight, dexterity etc. Physical changes may occur so slowly that a person does not realize that their abilities have become limited. Reviewing safe practices is always a good idea no matter how long you've been at the job of farming.
