Just guessing, but I would think a half tone truck wouldn't be enough to haul the trailer, especially when it seems like it is giving the truck all the load it should handle with the trailer empty. It seems like you would want a 1 ton truck for that one, heavier springs, heavier axle, and heavier frame. Those extra leafs in the springs make a difference. Also, it seems like you might not have enough brakes.
