I disagree that the JD 5000 series are problem tractors. I own a 2000 5510 and I love this tractor. It has all the power I need, drives nice, and is easy to maintain. I have had zero problems other than a tight fitting fuel cap - when I told my dealer about it, he mailed me a new 2001 cap (no charge) that even solved that minor problem. The 5410 and 5510 tractors have the same engine as the 6000 series, so I don't see how they can be that much different. My experience with JD 5000 tractors has been excellent - I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
