Probably because people generally don't like glow plugs. In this fast paced world no one wants to take the time to hold a button down for up to 2 minutes just to start a tractor. Dad had a 560 diesel a long while back, he was the first one in the neighborhood to get one to use for a loader tractor through the winter. Everyone said it would never start when it got cold out. Long story short, it never let him down. My neighbor has a 4020 that is supposed to be such a great loader tractor and I can stack hay faster with our 1256. He finally had to put a Case front end on it because it kept breaking on him. Everyone has their own opinion why things are the way they are, and this is just my $0.02 worth.
