When I was a kid, every time Dad changed the oil in any engine he had a use for it.Usually the floor of a flat wagon or the manure spreader.Well the running gears on the flat wagons fell apart in the 70's and the beds still make good kindling,as for the spreader the metal rusted out before the bed.He also swore by clear grain white oak for durable beds.It's 40 years later, he may have had something in his logic.
