I don't know how the grilles got banged up on some of these tractors... although I remember dad backing into my A with the baler one time. Especially here in ND, what are you going to run into? You would have to drive a couple miles just to find another tractor to bump into back then! And all of our forests grow in rows so you'd have to be pretty dumb to run into a tree. I think a lot of the dents came to these tractors later in life when they were the 2nd or 3rd tractor on the farm and just plain got abused.
