Ford looking tractors (2n, 8n, 9n, to-20, to-30, ect.) were made to resemble the automobile. Its more of a manufacture's choice on how the front was used. Some like Deere and Farmall made their front ends to allow various tasks to be done. Others were made for looks. I think the first Ford-Furguson tractors had alot of Ford model A in them including the looks.
