My logs wern't quite that big, 24" at the butt. I built an attachment for the 3 pt hitch that slides under the butt end, with a chain that goes around the log, to lift it a few inches. For the other end I made a 2 wheeled dolly that stradled the log, with a chain that goes under the log, "lever action" lifts the log a few inches, just enough to keep 'em out of the mud. Ed
