I have a wood shop and do custom woodworking. I usually pay in the neighborhood of $3.00 and up per board foot of kiln dried black walnut. Price depends on board thickness and grain (plain, fancy, etc). If there happens to be any curly walnut in there, prices can go a lot higher for it. Crotch and feather walnut will triple the price easily. Since you are talking an entire stand, the price you get will depend on how you intend to sell it. Whole logs, green boards, or if you intend to have it dried. Your best bet is as many here have said...find a woodworking website with forums (or even the news groups on the internet) and post what you have. I promise you'll have a lot of interested woodworkers :-)
