Propane is a little cheaper than gasoline to buy. If you already have a propane tank for fuel supply at your home just have it converted in order to service your tractor. We used to rent a tank for this, but didn't use a lot of propane, and the supplier suggested we convert the tank for the house to service the tractor. By the way, you will bog down a gasoline tractor with a load long before you will a propane tractor with the same size load. I am not a big propane fan, but will give the credit due where it's due. As long as proper safety precautions are adhered to it is as safe to operate as any other type of equipment fuel source. Just some advice, be sure to where gloves when servicing. When connecting/disconnecting the servicing hose it tends to be a little cold on the fingers and hands.
