A source many of us overlook is your local community college. In our area, it is a trend for senior citizens to take injoyable, fun classes.
I am in my late 40's and just completed a beginning welding class and there were other old men and a few women in class. Learned a lot and cheap.
Some of the rual campus may even have a ag mech. class. If you get a chance, read the books by Roger Welch. They're a hoot.
