JohnB. After getting it up on jackstands, I checked the play in the axle and there is very little slack. Also check the spindles and they are tight. I am cleaning and repacking the front wheel bearings and replacing the seals. Got the main steering shaft out and it is ruined. Ordering a new one today from MF dealer for $211 not too bad - could be more. Looks like the single grease fitting for the steering shaft had been missed for about 20 years.
