One thing about the wood fired outdoor boiler, if you ever leave for more than a couple of days you'll either have to have an alternative "automatic" heat source in the house, or drain your plumbing (including the boiler lines) or you'll have a mess. I've chosen radiant heat with tubing in my slabs and subfloors, with a gas-fired heater, as we are sometimes gone for a few days at a time.
