I have a Central Boiler. It's big enough to heat both my house and my son's and provide him with hot water. I have no complaints about mine but there are a few things I would do different were I to set it up again. Biggest thing is not to set it in a low spot.
Unfortunately my dealer is a dub and to get a dealer that knows what he's doing I have to go to Vermont (I'm in NH).
They're not cheap. I spent close to $5K for mine without any of the pipe, trenching and all the other stuff that goes with it.
Keep looking around and comparing before you choose. The list of pros is long. If you have a "free" supply of wood like I do (have to work it up but that's the only cost), go for it. Make sure you get one that is bigger than what you think you need. Then you can add a shop, garage, greenhouse or whatever.
