The pump on the old Farmall's comes out through the bottom and doesn't require splitting. But they are heavy so be careful if you hafta remove it. Can you hear the pump engage when you pull the activating lever back? and are you using the right fluid in the system? which if memory serves me correctly calls for 30W motor oil
