Go to a Tractor Supply Co. or one of the suppliers here...at top and bottom of page...(click on manuals) and get you a manual for your model tractor...they got enough info in them for you to keep it running or overhaul it (maybe with a few questions here). Someone once said that 90% of all gas problems are in the electrical system...check the points first...take them out and look at them...sometimes they are burnt and need replaced...sometimes they slip and the gap is too close....022" for the Continental Z134 engine. Then clean the settlement bulb screen in the settlement bulb assy. under the gas tank...next...blow out gas line from where it attaches to brass fitting at carburator...and the brass fitting going into the carb has a screen in it...clean it too. If you go to TSC to get new points and condensor...get a couple of the cork or rubber gaskets for the settlement bulb assy. and maybe a new set of spark plugs. If this doesn't cure it...the only thing left is the coil being weak...or timing is off.(enough for right now) These are all basic things that will help you get it right by yourself if you have just a little mechanical abilities. The book you want is the ITT-MF-14...usually in the tractor parts section. PS To check fuel flow...after removing the fuel line at carb...open the gas shutoff at the settlement bulb...it should pee about like you do...if it don't there is a screen in the gas tank that might be clogged...blow through the gas line to clear it...(loosen gas lid)... you might have to take off the gas tank and clean it out...by flushing and visual observation...you know..."looking". This'll keep you busy for a while...get back with us later and inform us as to what you did and any other questions you might have. You'll have to tell us how the loader is configured (as to where it gets it's hydraulic fluid before we can tell you what fluid to use). As an example...if it comes out of the transmission...it takes one kind...if it has it's own reservoir and a front mounted pump (or rear mounted) ...it'll take another kind. Be sure and use safety precautions when working around fuel systems...you know...no smoking and the drop light where it can't fall and start a fire...common sense things. If you're afraid of all this...get with a friend who has mechanical knowledge...for the first time around. Get started on the right foot and enjoy a good hobby. L8R....Fred OH

The Rescue of a Fordson F - by Anthony West. Introduction I live in the UK and have for many years restored Fordson tractors (in the main model N's). I have also restored and shown model F's, E 27N's, Field Marshall Series 2, David Brown Cropmasters and the old rey Fergeson T 20. At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
