My father-in-law had a Case 801B W/ aftermarket loader. He always used 20W motor oil in the hyds, because it's cheaper, without problems. I think hyd oil has more anti-foam, rust/oxidation preventative additives. New machinery is being made to use the cheaper (improved) motor oil as Alberta Mike observed.
