wouldn't do it, myself.I've rebuilt numerous 10-A horsedrawn and 12-A tractor-drawn spreaders with wood.Yellow poplar for horse models to reduce weight and oak and hickory in the tractor models with no problems.Keep em clean and dry when not in use and grease the H... out of them and they'll last as long the second time round as they did the first.
