In 1923, the ETD factory shipped well more than 2000 Tri-Directionals to New York's Yankee Stadium and they performed a square dance (well before the Farmall crowd got into it). They didn't even think of contacting the Guiness Book of World Records, hence the event went virtually unnoticed. Al Capone was in attendance and he noted the event in his memoirs which he wrote while in prison.
