Thanks again Bill, I understand your explaination and reasoning for the injection. I just wasn't too sure about the details before you came along. And I couldn't really think of a good way to explain it. Will that guy with the Allison accept a personal check? Or just cash? :) If the Allison in a Mustang had a good turbo like the Merlin, it probably would have been a great performer at altitude. It was already great at low altitudes. The Lightning had two Allisons with Superchargers, and did OK at altitude! Did any of the Merlins get hooked up with an supercharger (exhaust driven and not a mechanical turbo)? I don't think so, but I don't really study that stuff too much. I do remember some Spits had Two stage turbos (low, high). How is this tractor related again? :) Oh yeah, tractors pulled the planes around... Brandon
