Bill,.,,, Are you by any chance a aircraft mechanic? my brother was a aircraft mechanic during the Gulf War, he worked on Harriers. I went to a airshow with him and help refuel and launch planes, well the Harrier has a large water tank that injects into the combustion portion of the engine. we filled it with 55 gallon barrels and hand pumps. He explained the water the exact same way you did in your post.....Jim
