My torque converter failed & trashed my transmission while pulling a trailer in Kentucky. It is a 96 4wd 1/2 ton Dodge with the 360 magnum. It had 94,000 miles at the time. Had it fixed at Kentucky Transmission, a fairly large shop. Cost over $2,000 counting the rental car. Most of what was in his shop were Dodges 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton that had been plowing snow the previous week. He said Dodge had a lot of trouble ever since they replaced the old 727 trans with the 4 speed auto. I am going to replace this truck with a 1 ton diesel 4wd crew cab with a MANUAL TRANS (when I can find one I like)
